Sliding on the slide from Gigi and Pops.  That's pretty much all he has done for the past two days. Looking forward to some warmer days to break out the water table from Nana and PawPaw.  So many fun toys!

We had Christmas dinner with our friends, the Aubrys.  This is their daughter.

Check out this sweet baby girl! She is Miss Personality and growing like a weed!  She's not up to too much yet but is such a sweet baby. If you catch her eye and talk to her she just loves to give out smiles.

Christmas Tree!

We continued on with our tradition this year of getting our Christmas Tree at a farm up in Cashiers, NC.  They take our picture every year and it's fun to go back and find our picture from last year. It's hard to believe how much has changed in the past year. Miles isn't the one in the carrier any more, rather he is our big helper.

I think he was more intrigued with all the rocks in the field than the trees.

Miles met a girl while we were there.  Carson was setting up the camera for our family shot in front of our tree when Miles heard a squeaking sound. He followed the sound through the trees a found a cute little girl his age who was wearing squeaky shoes.  They chased each other all around the tree and even tried to give each other a kiss!

I seriously LOVE these kiddos!

We set the tree up that night after Miles went to bed and got some sweet time to relax with Jordan

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Alabama this year with my Grammy, Mom and Dad, and my Aunt, Uncle and cousins.  We were also together to celebrate Grammy's birthday which happened to fall on Thanksgiving this year.  It was a great time together with family and we were able to finally get a good family photo!

This kid loves to be tossed around and turned upside down!

The day after Thanksgiving we took the kids to the zoo. Miles had a great time checkin out all the animals.

Miles loves his animal sounds!

18 Month

Miles is now 18 months old (well 19 by the time I'm writing this)!  He is such a big boy.  In fact, as I type, he is sleeping in his new big boy toddler bed.  I didn't think we'd be switching to a bed so early but since he learned how to climb out of his crib, we really didn't have a choice.  Miles is all boy!  He loves to climb everything, play outside (in the dirt), and isn't afraid of anything.  We had our first hospital visit  this past month when he got a nice gash in his head. Lucky we avoided stitches and got it glued instead! But we were back at the doctor less than a week later to get it checked out because he managed to bump the same spot again!

Stats:
Height: 2 ft, 10 inchs
Weight: 26 lbs
Head: 19.8 in

This kid loves to learn! I amazed at how his mind works and how creative he can be with his toys.  His favorite activity right now is doing puzzles.  He can take them apart and put them back together very quickly. Even when we have pieces from different puzzles mixed in together, he can still find the correct puzzle to put them on.  He's still not doing a lot of talking but he is very focused on other learning aspects and really improving in his fine motor skills.  He does like to say (and wave) bye and he loves to call Rylie all the time.  Still no mom and dad, but at least he knows the dog's name right? He loves to play with water.  He will take any chance he gets, from bathtub, to my water glass, to the dog water bowl.  He will find whatever he can to scoop and pour the water back and forth. I love sitting and playing with him to see all the stuff he comes up with.
Most of all, he is being a terrific big brother! If Jordan cries, he runs to her and gives her a kiss on the head. He also loves to hold her. They are so sweet together and I am looking forward to their relationship growing.

1 Month

Here is Jordan's one month photo!  We didn't have a well check doctors appointment so I don't have all the stats, but when we were at the doctor when she was 5 weeks old, she weighed 10 lbs 10 oz.  She is getting so big so fast!  She slept through the night this weekend and she's only 6 1/2 weeks old! Here is Miles' one month photo to compare.
