This was Miles' second year berry picking, but this time he got to be a little more involved. He had some fun wandering around the property and enjoying the fruit. Sadly Pops wasn't able join us this year but Gigi took some home for him!

Baby #2
It's a GIRL!!!
We had our ultrasound and we are having a girl. Her name is Jordan Elizabeth. She is kicking like crazy and I'm really starting to show. We can't wait to meet her in October!
Summer Update
Now that we're not doing the monthly updates I realize it's been a while since I've updated on Miles. He will be 14 months next week and I feel like he is doing something new almost every day!
This is a picture of Miles right before we got into the pool for his first swim lesson last week. He had a great time and did very well. He seems to love the water and will kick his feet and try to use his arms!
He is walking everywhere and getting more and more stable on his feet (which means less falls and a happier mama and baby!) He has been pretty busy teething and now has 11 teeth! He can now sign "please" and very politely asks for things now (mostly more food!) He did not however, ask for more of the brownie he is eating in the picture below. I found a recipe for grain free zucchini brownies. He shivered every time he took a bite and spit it out. None of us blamed him and didn't finish our pieces either.
He loves to walk around shutting doors and has even found himself shut in the dark bathroom. He thinks it's fun for 2 second before he decides he doesn't like the game he has created. He loves to pet the puppies. He also loves to give kisses now (my favorite part!). Today I asked him where is head was and he finally got it right. I have been trying to teach him that for months. I then proceeded to ask him where his nose, feet, etc. were. He kept patting his head so maybe he hasn't figure things out yet after all. He still looks forward to daddy coming home and squeals when he sees Carson at the door. The have a great time playing together.
He is still not really talking. He mumbles "mama" all the time but rarely does he seem to be talking about me. He is making a lot of new sounds though. He will just walk around the house saying the "T" sound over and over so maybe he's not far from talking.
I just love watching this little boy grow up! He is so curious and loves to explore. This is such a fun age!

Swimming
Miles and I took a quick visit over to Montgomery to see Grammy and some other family. While we were there we got a chance to go swimming at Aunt Julie's pool. We wanted to get more practice in before our swim lessons started.
We tried the float again and he liked it this time!
Trying to float
Kick! Kick! Kick!

Goats!
Yesterday Miles and I went with a group from church to visit the goat farm. There were goats everywhere and the kids just loved getting to pet them. It was a great little farm that's not far from us. I know we'll be back for a visit soon!
Getting up close and personal with the goats. It looks like Miles wants to give them a kiss!
Hanging out with his buddy.
Of course. If there is water to be found, Miles will find it and play in it.
Swinging with friends
The kids got to meet this baby goat that was a day old!
Afterwards we went for a picnic at a near by park. Miles decided to get very dirty right before we got back in the car. So cute!

Miles goes swimming
Miles had his first trip to the pool on Memorial Day. He wasn't too sure about it at first, but he eventually warmed up the the idea and had a great time kicking and splashing! I just signed him up for swim lessons today so he'll be a pro in no time.

Orlando Adventures
Miles and I spent some time in Orlando when the new baby was making me so sick. Even though I could hardly function in the evenings, Gigi and Pops made sure Miles still got to have some fun. One night they took him to a near by farm to see some baby goats, as well as some other animals.
Checking out the cow
Chasing the farm cat. His favorite animal.
I love his face. He is not too sure about that turkey.
Feeding the goats with Pops
While hanging around the house, Miles got to practice his piano skills.
He also enjoyed playing in the dirt. Gigi took a picture of this to prove that their dog, Baxter, had not be the one to dig the hole.
Then there was time for walking
The one outing I took was to the preschool carnival. It was my mom's 20th year directing the kids (she's the music teacher there) and Miles enjoyed being out with other kids and the carnival games.
