Sickness

I'm getting cabin fever, which is not the only fever that has been around our house the past two weeks. Miles got sick first, followed my mom, then dad. Just when we thought we were getting better, things would get worse again. It seems that we have finally broken free of whatever was invading our house! So happy to be healthy again and have a happy baby. He was so pitiful when he was sick. The silver lining was all of the cuddle time that we got. He would let us rock him to sleep and then take naps like in the picture above.

Newsomes

While in Orlando, Miles and I got to spend an evening with the Newsome's. It was amazing that we could find a time that everyone was home. I held Trey (their youngest) the day after he was born, and now I'm the one with the baby. Hard to believe.

9 Months

9 Months. I can't believe my baby boy is 9 months! He has learned so many new "tricks" this month. I feel like it all happened at the same time. He is crawling on his hands and knees now, pulling up (on everything!), walking when we hold his hands, starting to eat solid foods with his purees, and trying his hardest to talk. He says mama and dada but no meaning to it yet. It's just dadadadadada, but he's learning the sounds! Gigi and Pops also taught him to raise his arms up when we ask if he's a big boy. And if you're lucky, you can get him to wave at you!

Stats at his 9 month checkup:
Length: 29 1/2"; 90th percentile
Weight: 18 lbs 6 oz; 27th percentile
Head: 18"; 72nd percentile

Kitchen Shower

We had a great time at Selina's kitchen shower. Miles got to tag along and charm all of the girls in his little sweater vest. Precious!

Cynthia, my co-hostess.

The beautiful bride-to-be and her friends

Favors for the guests. Prayer cards attached to magnetic chip clips.

Selina was very excited about her gifts!

This is the apron I made for her.

Orlando

Miles and I travelled down to Orlando so that I could help with some wedding planning and throw a Bridal Shower for Selina. We had a great visit and got a lot crossed off our wedding to do list.

Miles felt right a home with Baxter, Rylie's brother.
Rick and Phyllis, who came to visit Miles in the hospital, happened to be in Orlando at the same time with their children singing at a church event.
We found a great deal on this activity table and Miles loved playing with it while we were there. His leg strength really increased and all he wanted to do was stand.
